about

Imaginary Keyboards is the fruit of a year-long labor adventuring into worlds unknown to me. The first half was spent exploring what microtonality had to offer to me and what it gave me was the tools to take my listeners on a journey across alien worlds and places. I was given a chance to pursue my love of fantasy in music the result being my four fantasies City of Brass, Pillars, Procession, and City of Gold. My work in just intonation led to Ground-Sky, a meditation on the harmonic series. Later on, I gained a new tool that allowed for even more fantastical keyboards, the Roli Seaboard. Transforming the controller into various things, I traversed the minute differences between the physical and digital in Elestial.

Ode to Falmouth, is a setting of a poem by Maggie Zavgren. The ideas of memory and place are what can guide the listener through the text.
